What is so special about AHT? Water is water, right? Xtreme Technologies of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho has developed a patented process and formula for restructuring the molecule clusters in water. The product of this process is a premium bottled water with a unique combination of characteristics that is found in no other product. (1) The restructured molecule clusters in AHT are half the size of those found in untreated water. The smaller clusters allow your cells to absorb AHT faster than tap, spring or purified water--even sports drinks! When the cells in your body absorb water, the receptors in the cell wall only allow one water molecule to pass at a time. The molecule clusters in ordinary water each contain 10-13 molecules and for each water molecule to pass through the cell wall receptor, its bonds with adjacent water molecules must be broken for all but the last two or three molecules in the cluster. (It is not unlike separating ice cubes from an ice tray.) The larger a molecule cluster is, the more bonds there are that must be broken, slowing the absorption process. However, if there are fewer water molecules in the clusters there are fewer bonds to be broken and absorption can proceed at a faster rate. This results in faster and more effective hydration of your body when you drink AHT Health and Fitness Water. How can you say AHT is an antioxidant? The water we start with has a residual positive electrical charge (redox potential) of +250 to +400 mV. Our patented process creates a residual negative electrical charge in AHT of -100 to -250 mV. On this scale an increasing negative value indicates an increasing concentration of unattached electrons that are available for donation to free radicals. It is widely accepted in scientific circles that one way antioxidants neutralize free radicals is by donating electrons in a process called redox reactions. By providing a concentration of unattached electrons, AHT has the potential to protect your body from oxidative damage that can be caused by unhealthy numbers of free radicals. Why is the pH of my blood important and what effect can AHT have? The average optimal pH level of your blood is around 7.35 to 7.45. It can be as high as 7.6 just after it leaves your lungs and a little less than 7.3 just before it returns to your lungs. As your blood delivers oxygen and picks up carbon dioxide (waste) for elimination the acidity of carbon dioxide reduces the alkalinity of your blood. It also reduces the capacity for your blood to hold the remaining oxygen. This is supposed to happen. But poor health conditions and/or poor health and dietary habits can increase the acidic pressure on your blood's pH. This can reduce your blood's capacity to carry oxygen even more than normal as well as its effectiveness as part of the mechanism that regulates pH levels in other parts of your body. At approximately pH 8 the alkalizing effect of AHT helps support your body's optimum pH levels. Is AHT carbonated? AHT is not a carbonated beverage. It is stabilized, oxygenated water. Our patented process increases the amount of oxygen in water to a level that is 8 to 9 times more than what is found in tap water and 4 to 5 times more than what is found in spring or purified water. Because the added oxygen is part of the molecular structure of AHT it becomes bio-available. There are many experts who say oxygenated water is not what it is cracked up to be. What about AHT? Other oxygenated water products on the market use a process very similar to carbonation. It forces oxygen gas into the water under high pressure. The problem is, oxygen gas is unstable. As soon as the pressure is released, the added oxygen gas bubbles up and escapes. Even if you consumed a significant amount of the oxygen gas in these products, you would receive little or no benefit because your digestive system is designed to process liquids and solids, not gases. Our patented process incorporates a mild form of electrolysis that creates molecular bonds between added oxygen and reduced water molecule clusters.
